1996-1998 4.6 Mustang GT Supercharging System w/ NOVI 1000 The modular motor is here to stay, and Paxton Automotive Corporation has introduced supercharging systems for all '96-current 4.6 liter Mustang GT's, featuring the NOVI-1000RR (reverse rotation) gear-driven centrifugal supercharger. The NOVI-1000RR is the same as the original NOVI-1000, except everything is built in a mirror image so the supercharger can be mounted "backwards," with the intake facing towards the front of the engine. This allows the drive pulley to be spun by the engine accessory belt, eliminating the need for an additional supercharger drive system. At a conservative 6-8 psig of boost, this NOVI-1000RR supercharging system produced over 360 horsepower and nearly 390 lb/ft of torque at the motor on 91 octane pump gas! The NOVI-1000RR system for 1996-1998 4.6 liter Mustang GT is the only supercharging system that features beefy 1/2" thick, billet aluminum black anodized mounting brackets, and cast aluminum, rock-honed discharge tube. 1996-1998 GT systems come with a high-volume, in-line auxiliary fuel pump and a Paxton Automotive fuel control unit.
